Dr Mark Norman
Dr Mark Norman is Chief Conservation Scientist and Executive Director of Environment and Science at Parks Victoria. He leads the conservation staff and programs for Victoria's parks estate with its many challenges. His team monitor and assess the status of flora, fauna and communities across the state, and plan and help deliver onground programs in invasive species control, threatened species protection, habitat restoration, and ecological management of fire and water. His research background is in marine biology with strong interests in biodiversity conservation across all ecosystems, science communication and improving public engagement. His previous role was with Museums Victoria as Head of Sciences.
