Director, Business Outlook and Evaluation
Lindsay is a Director Business Outlook and Evaluation. He is also currently Chief Executive of SmartWard Pty Ltd, a start-up health informatics company in which BOE is a shareholder.
BOE is a boutique management consultancy that advises research and technology-based companies operating in Australia, Asia and the Middle-East. BOE works with multi-disciplinary teams in highly specialised fields, including public policy, business development, sustainability and stakeholder engagement. BOE helps these teams in to identify pathways to solutions for complex problems
Lindsay began his career as diplomat in the Australian Foreign Service. He served in the Philippines in the early 1980s and later worked on Indonesia, during times of extreme sensitivity in the bilateral relationships. He later became General Manager of Public Affairs for CSIRO, a multi-disciplinary research agency that works with all sectors of the Australian economy.
Lindsay is also Chairman of Enterprise Learning Projects, a not-for-profit social enterprise that helps remote aboriginal communities to start businesses. He is a member of the Swinburne Civil Engineering Course Advisory Committee.
Lindsay has a Bachelor of Science with Honours (Physics) from Monash University, a Masters of Environmental Science, also from Monash, and a Graduate Diploma in Economics from the Australian National University. In addition, he has completed advanced training in management, negotiation, finance and legal issues.
